Статья посвящена программе SAGA (System for Automated Geoscientific Analyses) - гибридной геоинформационной системе. Первостепенная задача проекта SAGA - предоставить пользователям эффективную, но простую в применении платформу анализа пространственных
данных. Исходный код программы написан на языке С++ и распространяется по лицензии GNU Public License. Приводится краткое описание работы с растровыми и векторными данными, отдельными модулями анализа данных.

This article is about SAGA (System for Automated Geoscientific Analyses) - a hybrid GIS software. The first objective of SAGA is to give (geo-)scientists an effective but easy learnable platform for the implementation of geoscientific methods. SAGA is written in the widespread and powerful C++ programming language and follows an object oriented approach. Moreover it relies on the GNU Public License, which means it is an open source project.
