Current State and Development Trends of Geodetic Support in the Russian Federation. Height and Gravimetric Support
V.P. Gorobets, G.V. Dem'yanov (Federal Scientific&Technical Centre for Surveying, Mapping and Spatial Data Infrastructure)
A.N. Maiorov
G.G. Pobedinsky (JSC "Scientific and Production Association of Geodesy and Geodynamics", Nizhny Novgorod)
#1, p 05
Continuing the theme of the geodetic support development in the Russian Federation, the authors examine the new principles of the normal heights system, which is defined by not a single point, but a set of geodetic points. On these points geodetic (ellipsoidal) height is determined with high accuracy based on the results of satellite measurements, the normal height calculation is based on the data of the precision geometric leveling and the quasigeoid height is derived from the gravimetric measurements.
